+POS IndicatorA ReviewFirst, a pet peeve, it is an "indicator", not a "click", a "counter" or a "clicker."That said, I have long held two concerns about this most essential part of my uniform; first, the size of most indicators seemed very small in my hand, making it very easy to 'click off two' without noticing, and second, it never made sense to have the strikes at the top and the balls in the middle when I always announced them in the opposite order. As a result I usually opted for the larger type indicators that showed the innings. No longer. The +POS BB169 Indicator corrected these two faults and added two other features, the elimination of unused numbers and shadow-proof windows.
The size took a little adjustment particularly when going for the mask the first time. You have to drop the indicator down to be held by your last two fingers in order to comfortably hold mask and indicator in the same hand. This takes a little practise but soon becomes habit. As soon as you start clicking through the numbers you notice that strike 3, ball 4 and the third out are missing! (When was the last time you used them anyway?) This results in larger numbers and a longer, more positive sweep before the next click. The clicks are well defined and overall workmanship is excellent. The large size allows for the number holes to be created in a countersunk pattern. Visibility is maximized. You can literally read the count across a room! +POS also moved the ball count to the top of the indicator and strikes in the middle. It may take a few games to break the old habits but if you start the season with a new system the adaptation will come very quickly.
